About the Role: As the Director of IT, you will be at the forefront of our technology initiatives, overseeing the delivery and support of all IT systems, including health information technology and community analytics programs. Reporting directly to the Vice President of IT, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our technology landscape, ensuring that our systems are not only compliant with the latest standards and regulations but also strategically aligned with our organizational goals. In this leadership position, you will manage the relationship with our managed service provider (MSP) and in-house HIT support, ensuring optimal utilization of resources to drive efficiency and effectiveness across our clinical and business operations. You will be responsible for planning and advancing network technologies, health IT solutions, and data informatics, all while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Strategy: Serve as the primary resource for Health and Information Technology (HIT and IT) in strategic planning and program development. Collaborate with the VP of IT and senior management to lead the teams in research, innovation, and the implementation of new technology solutions. Project Management: Oversee all Health Information Technology projects from planning through implementation, ensuring an integrated approach that enhances our Electronic Health Systems and other software solutions. Vendor & Budget Management: Manage relationships with the MSP and IT consultants, optimizing their expertise to achieve strategic goals. Administer IT purchasing, vendor relationships, and budgeting. Team Development: Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture within the IT department. Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to your team, ensuring their growth and success. Operational Excellence: Manage the Help Desk, ensure robust system backups and disaster recovery plans, and maintain compliance with PHI-related regulations, including HIPAA. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree, preferably in the discipline of computer, network or information science required or healthcare administration. 5+ years of supervisory experience leading high-performing teams including mentoring/development of new and existing talent within the organization 5+ years’ experience in the implementation and management of HIT systems. 3+ years’ experience EPIC, preferably in an ambulatory care setting. Experience with computer information systems including security, networking, server, software application management and support within a healthcare setting Extensive experience working cross-functionally, building collaborative working relationships and interfacing effectively with all levels of the business. Strong leadership, influencing, negotiation, and planning skills.
