Drain Cleaning Technician

For over seven decades investor-owned utilities, municipalities, cooperatives, and others have entrusted their electrical construction and maintenance needs to Davis H. Elliot Company, Inc. (Elliot).

Elliot is a full-service electrical contractor specializing in overhead and underground distribution, transmission, substations, lighting, traffic signaling, utility locating and industrial/commercial services.

Davis H. Elliot Construction Company, Inc. is looking for a motivated and dependable Drain Cleaning Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and clearing drain and sewer blockages, performing inspections, and delivering outstanding customer service. Experience in drain cleaning, plumbing, or a related field is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Diagnose and clear clogged drains, sewer lines, and plumbing systems.
• Operate drain cleaning equipment, including cable machines, hydro jetters, and inspection cameras.
• Perform routine maintenance and preventative drain cleaning services.
• Identify plumbing issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Communicate clearly with customers regarding services, findings, and recommendations.
• Complete service documentation and work orders accurately.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.

Qualifications:

• Previous drain cleaning, plumbing, or service technician experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined spaces or outdoor conditions as needed.
• Availability for occasional overtime and on-call rotations.
