Moravian Academy is hiring a responsible and reliable school bus driver to transport students to and from school as needed. These transportation runs will include field trips and athletic events throughout the week. The school bus driver's responsibilities include ensuring proper vehicle maintenance, observing safety and traffic rules, and maintaining order among students while they are on the bus.If you enjoy working with children, strictly observe passenger transport regulations, care about the maintenance of your vehicle, and hold passenger safety as the highest priority then we want to talk with you.Bus Driver Responsibilities:Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspection of the vehicleBe punctual with departure times and follow trip scheduleRegularly checking vehicle safety such as tires, brakes, turn signals, mechanical equipment, etc.Monitoring and reporting fuel consumption, mileage, and passenger numbers.Reporting delays, accidents, and emergencies.Responding to emergency and non-emergency situations.Perform a child check immediately after each runAssisting with the loading and unloading of the bus when required.Enforcing conduct and safety rules on the bus.Maintaining a clean vehicle.Bus Driver Requirements:CDL license with a School Bus Endorsement required.Valid and Clean driving record.All appropriate state and federal clearances Pass DOT physical and drug testSkills and Abilities:Excellent communication skills.Safety-first mindsetTeam player and team builderMoravian AcademyAbout the School:Moravian Academy, located in historic Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, is a PK through 12th grade coeducational college preparatory school and the ninth oldest independent school in the United States.
