About the Role

Visions Door 2 Door is seeking responsible, safety‑focused School Bus / Van Drivers to transport students along assigned routes. This is a part‑time split‑shift position with morning and afternoon routes, ideal for drivers looking for consistent hours and meaningful work serving students and schools.

Schedule:

• AM Shift : Approximately 6:30–8:15 AM , depending on route
• PM Shift: Approximately 1:30–4:00 PM , depending on route
• Midday Break: Unpaid break between shifts
• Monthly Meetings: Required staff meetings (approximately 2 hours )

Key Responsibilities:

• Transport students safely to and from school along assigned routes
• Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Maintain order and ensure student safety while boarding, riding, and exiting
• Communicate professionally with students, families, and staff
• Conduct required pre/post vehicle safety inspections before and after each route and report any mechanical or safety concerns
• Report delays, incidents, or emergencies promptly

Requirements:

• Must be 25 years of age or older
• Clean driving record (no disqualifying infractions within the last 36 months)
• Valid and properly classified driver’s license with required school bus/van endorsements (or willingness to obtain, with company guidance)
• Ability to pass a background check, physical, drug screening, and TB test
• Comfortable working a split shift schedule on school days

Compensation & Growth

• $18–$25 per hour , based on current license, endorsements, and experience
  • Candidates without a school bus endorsement may start at Bus Aide pay while training
  • Drivers with CDL and school bus endorsement may start at the higher end of the range
• Paid training and support to obtain/upgrade endorsements (as applicable)
• Opportunities for advancement (e.g., floater driver, lead driver, training support) as the company grows
