Job Title: Foreman - Pipe Welder (stick)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Pipe Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience performing SMAW (Stick) welding on carbon steel pipe in industrial, manufacturing, or construction environments. The Pipe Welder will be responsible for producing high-quality welds that meet project specifications, industry standards, and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform SMAW (Stick) welding on carbon steel pipe in various positions, including 2G, 5G, and 6G.
• Read and interpret pipe isometric drawings, blueprints, and welding procedures.
• Prepare pipe for welding by cleaning, beveling, cutting, and fitting materials.
• Weld carbon steel pipe according to project specifications and welding procedures.
• Ensure weld quality meets company and customer standards.
• Inspect completed welds for defects and make repairs as necessary.
• Operate welding machines, grinders, torches, and other fabrication equipment.
• Work closely with fitters, supervisors, and quality control personnel to ensure project success.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of pipe welding experience preferred.

Experience with SMAW (Stick) welding on carbon steel pipe required.

Ability to pass a pipe welding test.

Knowledge of welding symbols, blueprints, and isometric drawings.

Familiarity with pipe fabrication and fit-up processes.

Strong understanding of welding safety practices.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Reliable transportation and strong attendance record.

Work Environment

This position involves working in a construction environment, focusing on new commercial projects.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greenville, SC.

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
